No GA at this venue. It was Madison Square Garden, so everyone had a seat. Some chose to stand, and there were some hardy souls up in our third-tier section who stood the entire time the Cure were onstage.

| I was just at MSG last week for REM. I was one of the hardy souls up in the 3rd tier standing. The guy behind me wasn't happy, but the people in front of me were standing, so oh well. It's still a cool place to go for shows b/c of the history. And I think almost every band that plays there thinks "Damn, I'm playing in f*@king Madison Square Gardens." The only drag was that the big screens weren't on, and they would helped considering where my seats were.

We must finish this thread by August 21. If you're reading this, it is now your duty to help complete this mission. For the sake of filling pages, here is a discussion starter I am titling "WTF John?" Required viewing material for this discussion: The first half minute or so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSm8LsXEq1Q

My hypothesis is that he was working out a new song in his head..."The Na-na Song". Is there some kinda law that says whenever something is recorded for youtube that the most tone-deaf dude in the audience has to sing into the mic? ...I'm just sayin'... Oh, and Brad can take a break. How's that for keeping the thread alive?

| I think it sounds familiar too. But I can't figure out why. Supplementary viewing for "WTF John?": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fbhUXBjhpU My summer has been kind of lame. Last summer we made a giant list of things we wanted to do and we were about 95% successful, even though we included some pretty big things. This year, with the rising costs of everything and the social circle changing and more work, it just hasn't been that exciting.

My summer's been pretty lame also. Other than Canada Day, I really haven't done much of anything exciting unfortunately. There's still time though, so hopefully something fun happens.
