I imagine when they do the site wide board upgrade that that will be a new and improved feature. I was just thinking about that today and wondering if it was an option if you all would like it.

What is the ending of the file? Usually, you download torrents through a tracker and they're just normal files. If they're music files they might be .flv files (I think) and then you need a converter or a .flv player.
And what? I'm not allowed to enjoy fireworks beyond the Fourth of July?

You don't have the actual files yet. If you check the properties of the file you have, it should only be a few kb in size.
You need to download a BitTorrent client. I use ABC. Google "bittorrent client" and you'll get 100000000 choices. After you download the client, double click on your .torrent file. It should open in your client program and then the actual files will start to download and should list your status. .Torrent files are just trackers to the actual file.

If there is no one seeding the torrent, you could be waiting eternally. If you got the torrent on some sort of torrent site, it should list seeders (uploaders) and leechers (downloaders). If there are no seeders or leechers who have partially downloaded, the torrent is dead and you have to wait for someone to reseed.
If you got the torrent on a torrent site and there ARE other people on the torrent, try opening the .torrent file from that page instead of from your saved file and see if that makes things better.
