I can't copy and paste easily, so head on over.

Highlights for the lazy:

- They've recorded a new song with Greg Wattenberg (fact of interest - he shared songwriting credits on the song Let Love In) which will be released in the UK in a couple weeks (no mention of the US/CA)

-They're gearing up for the UK dates (no known opener yet) and the handful of previously announced US dates.

-The new studio, Inner Machine (gag) is up and running.  They'll have a website and video up eventually and you can see more here.

-They are writing for the new album.  Writing.  For the album that was supposedly going to be done in June.  Yeah.

-Yay for John getting a Songwriter's HOF award.  Boo for completely wrong nomination facts.

*headwall*
Didn't we already learn that they're not good at sticking to their dates? LLI was supposed to be out in winter '05, and the Studio (*refuses to call it by its name until they come up with something more creative*) was supposed to be finished last September.
I'm pretty sure I gave up when I discovered that GH2 A) wasn't coming out until the new album was supposed to be and B) was bumped back an additional two months.

Y'know, myself and many others travel around doing Renaissance Faires for a living. We run on "Rennie time". That's, like, we're supposed to be somewhere at 8 and we show up at 8:10. In my family, it's worse, because we have to run on "Laura/Mom time", where we're supposed to be somewhere at 8 and we get there at 8:40-9.
Goo time, on the other hand....*shakes head somberly*

I'm intrigued. Go UKers for getting to hear the song first for a change.

Thanks for posting the info Nicole.

This is really really really interesting. This means I might get to hear a new song when I'm in Liverpool? Awesome! : D

I think there's a very good chance they'll perform the new song.

I'm very interested to see what sort of radio attention the new song will get by going to the UK first.  I'm also a bit confused about how they're going to promote a new song while putting out an album without that song...

I don't mind delays and never ever expected for a moment that an album would be finished by now, but you'd think they'd at least attempt to project reasonable time lines.  How they thought they'd bang out an album by early summer with all of the scattered shows, private events, appearances, etc is beyond me.

Oh, no, I never expected the album to be out when they said, either!!
You know what I think it is? I think they just like to torture us. Torture s with promises they know they'll never keep. *shakes fist*

I have no idea as to how they're gonna promote it or what it's going to be promoted as, but Before It's To Late did get a bit attention (enough to be played on the radio over here, and that says something), so I don't think it'll be that much of a problem.

Maybe it's/will be a part of a soundtrack?

Nah, they would've said it if were for a movie. Although...Johnny has been known to write theme songs. Maybe it's for a British TV show. XD

Ugh, I was hoping they would drop the LLI folks like hot potatoes. As a matter of fact, I was looking forward to hearing them bash LLI, like they've bashed every other record after their subsequent record comes out.

Usually it would annoy me when they did this. I always wondered why they were so hard on their previous records. But like I said, this time I was looking forward to hearing what negative comments they would make about LLI.
