ok evey goo concert that I have been too, there are certain pics that I usually end up getting.... the following are the typical pics that i got at the El Paso show.... blurry.... blurry due to John moving... John's back because he turned and walked to the other side of the stage right when my camera snapped the pic... and how the hell did I get a pic of john's man area.... or I get just a part of John's head... or a mic is in the way....though I like this photo... or I get most of John but part of his face is cut off.... or someone's head gets in my way..... or I am zoomed in too much.... or I get a pic of the ceiling...how did that happen? or the pic I took of Robby where he stopped and looked at me turns out blurry... but then there is the pic that came out great but wasn't what I was trying to take a picture of...like this one...

This thread made me smile. Everyone one of those situations has happened to me before too. It's so frustrating but it's all worth it when you finally get a shot like your last one....love it. Every good photographer will tell you they throw away more than they keep. So take lots and hope for the best. Concert shots are hard to get because of the lighting. The spotlights cause the shot to overexpose and blur. Or if the spotlights are colored then there's not enough light and it's dark and blurry. It's all very tricky. It helps if your camera has a setting where you can adjust the light exposure. And, if you can use the highest ISO possible....if you have a digital.

In all of my pictures from Goo concerts, they are all really dark and taken from far away so the Goos aren't even visible in them. I was up close for two of my concerts, but in the first one, I forgot to bring a camera. And those pics would've been great because it was outdoors with lots of sunlight and it was my first concert! The second time, I was REALLY up close, but cameras were strictly not allowed. Someone behind me was using a camera and the security guard kept pushing me out of the way to threaten her. I am really hoping I'll get some good pics for my concert which is in 5 days!

what's ISO? i have a digital camera and all i know how to do is point and push the button. any pointers for concert taking pictures would be greatly appreciated! and collegeunm, all my pictures are like that, too! most of them are of their backs though. for Louisville, i got a new camera and here i am thinking i'm getting this great shot, then look at the screen and it's his back! GRRR!!! and 85% of them are blurry. . .9 more days til my next show and i'm one row farther back than the lasy show, i have no great expectations for pictures this time around. . .
