I'm in complete shock and I don't know what to do!

I recently started talking to this guy on msn, whom I met through a friend in college. I met the guy about maybe twice at the most.
Well, a couple weeks ago, he messaged me, out of the blue, hey what's up kinda thing and we started talking and getting to know each other. So anyways, last time I talked to him was really late Saturday night about 2:00pm, which is also Sunday morning, whatever.
I just found out about 10 minutes ago, that he died on Sunday. I am in complete shock. I met him twice, I don't know his family, I just know him through a friend. He was 23. I can't go to the funeral I wouldn't know anyone there. What do I do?? Have I done all I could and just have to get over the shock?
It was sad to say that I was starting to like him...

Lauren, I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
I'm sorry I don't have much advice to give. I just want to tell you if you have even the slightest urge to go to the funeral or a showing to give your respects, you should, with a friend or by yourself. But if you don't want to or would feel extremely uncomfortable, then don't feel you have to. Maybe send a card to his family. Aside from that, I can't really tell you how to mourn, as everyone copes their own way.

I found out this morning that he committed suicide..That tells you how precious life is...

I agree with Nicole. I think you should listen to your instincts about whether or not you want to attend the services. If you really want to go but don't want to go alone ask one of your friends or family to go with you. If I lived a little closer I'd go with you.
