Adore didn't sell well because it sucked. Adore
was not a step forward, Adore was a step...
out...
They are bringing back the drummer (his name, by
the way, is Jimmy Chamberlin) because the drummer
kicks ass. Also... Billy once said that he,
D'arcy, James, and Jimmy were the Smashing
Pumpkins, and if one of them left, they wouldn't
be the Smashing Pumpkins anymore. Technically...
Adore wasn't a Smashing Pumpkins record...
The only new song I've heard is "If There Is a
God" and it kind of reminded me of "Mayonaise" in
a way... but it's a really good song...
They're not really moving backwards. They're
moving back into the rock industry, and if that's
a step backwards, then I'd rather be back in the
stone age, rocking, than in the space age,
whispering.
