BOLLOX! Noel came up with Champagne Supernova
while watching a programme about the Champagne
region of France and listening to the Supenova LP
by the Pixies. He just thought the two words
would sound good together. He explained all this
on Steve Lamacq's Essential Albums: Morning Glory
on Radio 1. The song is about his parents, hence
'where were you when we were getting high'.
