>I first heard Jody Miller when I was about two

I always loved music, especially Jody Miller, with
songs like "He's So Fine," "There's a Party Goin'
On," and my favorite "Good News." I decided to go
into the radio business, and one of the
highlights of my early career was meeting Jody
Miller. I was on an errand in Oklahoma City and
heard her doing an interview on the air at the
radio station for which I worked. I raced across
town in hopes of meeting her, and caught her just
leaving the building.
From that point, I am proud to say, she has become
a long-time friend.
I listen to her new gospel recordings, and am
amazed at her voice. It's been nearly 40 years
since she signed with Capitol, and yet her voice
is as clear and strong as ever.
Her early recordings on Capitol and Epic are
timeless, and it's always "Good News" when a new
Jody Miller album is on the way.
And how great is it to have a site like this to
share our admiration and love for this incredible
singer?
Thanks for all the years of wonderful music, Jody!
