Hendrix played two songs at Clapton's Central Polytechnic gig in 1966, including a version oh Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" that caused Clapton's jaw to drop. Somehow Hendrix managed to play lead and rhythm at the same time, with an intensity that Clapton could not believe.
