You shouldn't worry about being as good as
hendrix, you should just worry about being good.
There are lots of great guitarists out there
(Kirk Hammett, Joe Satriani, Tony Iommi...) and
some people might same they're as good or even
better than hendrix. It's all a matter of taste.
Just concentrate on these three things:
1)speed
2)clarity
3)improvisation
4)[most importantly]feeling
