fuck man. you dave "lovers" need to go out and learn a bit about music. i won't say the entire band sucks because carter and leroy are actually TRAINED musicians with TRAINED ears capable of doing more than just the "dave shuffle".
dave sings through his fucking nose. there's nothing innovative or ground breaking about his music and his popularity is due to little more than having gathered a loyal following of drunk, musically ignorant college students. he's proof that power in numbers is greater power in skill. everyone
thinks he's great so he must be, right??
ever sit down and just read his lyrics? there's no poetry to it. there's nothing to it at all. the same can be said for the tunes. carter is the only reason people tap their feet, and i'm sure even he must be tiring of the shit he has to play...dennis chambers is way ahead of him, so he's
stagnating. i've never heard a SINGLE musician say anything good about dave matthews. he's shit on a pretty plate. i can take a shit and marvel about it too. people praise this jackass like he discovered the bloody atom. take a look at his audiences: they're either drunk, stoned or retarded. i
can't even imagine what kind of human waste shows up at his solo gigs.
please, for the love of music itself, go out and listen to some REAL musicians. if you just want to feel good and get stoned to some tunes, you can do a LOT better than dmb (go back to the 60's and 70's stuff...THAT was innovative).
and for fuck's sake, don't peddle john mayer. the derivative of a zero is STILL a ZERO.
EDUCATE YOURSELVES. you can feel good AND not be a complete dumb fuck waste of carbon and water.
