Have you ever wanted to make your own covers for your CDs? Or maybe you've made some for a mix CD or live show?

Well here's your chance to show others what mad skills you have!

We are holding a contest for Beastie Boys CD Covers. Basically you can design your own Beastie Boys CD Cover of your choice. You can re-design one of the current releases or you can make a cover for a bootleg or live show. As long as it is a Beastie Boys Cover.

The Dimensions for a CD cover front are approx: 461 x 461 and the back dimensions are approx: 574 x 454
You don't have to make a back, that is up to you.

You can create CD covers, Vinyl covers, Cassette covers, VHS covers or DVD covers. Please make sure you have the correct dimensions though because the final contestents works will be avaliable to download.

Everything entered will be excepted but obviously you have a better chance of winning if you have a good design. Here are some exaples of what to do and what not to do:

Image 1 is too basic. It's crap and obviously took 10 seconds to make. Image 2, although it is simple is designed better and has had thought put into it. Although simple can be good, obviously something as simple as Image 1 will be ignored.

All entries should come with a .txt file giveing a description of your work as well as containing your name and email. Here's an example for Image 2:

"This CD cover is for the Intergalactic single. I created it useing Photoshop useing a poster from the In The Round Tour as the foreground. I then put an old Beastie Boys logo underneath it and reduced the posters Opacity. I then put two logos on either side and shrunk them to their current size. The font I used is called 'Blocky Smocky'.

You don't even have to go into that much detail if you don't want but I personally like to know that stuff.

What will you win? Well that's a secret for now. ;)

Please send all entries to [email protected] It would also be great, if you have web space, if you would upload your files to your site and just send me the link, that way my email won't be clogged up. If you have to send it to me through email though that is ok.
